Fallon Walsh
Pre-Licensed Therapist
From an early age, I was drawn to understanding the human mind and its complexities. Growing up with a background of 18 years of dance experience and my education, I have witnessed the profound impact that creative expression and therapy can have on individuals. The power of counseling to provide guidance alongside the potential to foster emotional and physical well being through dance has helped me decide to pursue this path.
Combining my passion for dance and love for mental health advocacy, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their unique journeys and discover their inner strengths.
I received my B.A. in psychology from the University of South Carolina in May of 2023, and I am currently in the expressive therapies program at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I will soon receive my MBA Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Dance/movement therapy. During my undergraduate degree, I gained experience leading social skills groups for children with autism at the Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment in Columbia, South Carolina. I also had the privilege of working at the Perkins School for the blind in Watertown, Massachusetts helping assist dance movement therapy group counseling sessions for children. My experience throughout my education thus far has helped me gain the necessary tools to continue growing and learning as a therapist while helping clients reach their goals, promote personal growth, and overall well being.
I draw on my background of dance to integrate talk therapy, mindfulness, and movement to create an embodied therapy experience. My approach is rooted in humanistic principles, emphasizing the importance of self-acceptance, personal growth, and authentic connections. I plan to meet the clients where they are and work together as a team to regain connection between their mind and body so that they can feel comfortable within themselves to overcome life's obstacles. As a dance movement therapy intern, I am devoted to providing a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel valued and understood. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
